A rural community, approximately 40 miles west of the Twin Cities, lies quietly in the countryside. But stop and take a closer look. It's a dynamic region full of growth and prosperity. Look even closer at the school district. Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools has all of the opportunities of a large school district, within a caring, small town community. The 157 square mile area that makes up the district includes Buffalo, Hanover, Montrose and the surrounding townships. With a district population of over 32,000 residents, over 5,800 students attend 6 elementary schools, a middle school (grades 6-8), a high school and alternative high school (grades 9-12), and a transitions program. Hundreds of teachers and staff are all working toward one mission: Making a difference by preparing all students for a successful future in a changing world.
